Minneapolis gets the win over division leading Wausau despite losing in almost every statistical category.Tied 1-1 entering the 3rd period, Wausau took an early lead only 1 minute into the 3rd, but was unable to hold on with Minneapolis tying it 5 minutes later and taking the lead on a Powerplay goal with 8 minutes left to play. Minneapolis wins their second game in a row, this time in dominant fashion over the Cosa Nostra.Chicago opened the scoring on the first shot of the game taking a 1-0 lead just 15 seconds in, but Minneapolis kept the heat on and had a 2-1 lead by the end of the 1st. After a scoreless 2nd period, Chicago tied it midway through the 3rd. Minneapolis would tie it up later in the 1st on Sharp’s Powerplay goal and the game would remain tied at 1-1 until the 3rd period. Lakeland took the lead early in the 3rd and kept Minneapolis at bay until Sharp tied it up on his second goal of the game with under 2 minutes left to play.
