{"id":1343,"date":"2017-03-03T18:53:47","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T18:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.straybaseball.com\/mwhl\/?p=1343"},"modified":"2017-03-03T18:53:47","modified_gmt":"2017-03-03T18:53:47","slug":"schindel-named-to-handle-salary-contract-compliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mwhl.straybaseball.com\/?p=1343","title":{"rendered":"SCHINDEL NAMED TO HANDLE SALARY &#038; CONTRACT COMPLIANCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.straybaseball.com\/mwhl\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.straybaseball.com\/mwhl\/wp-content\/gallery\/main\/MWHL400.jpg\" alt=\"MWHL400\" width=\"400\" height=\"320\"><\/a>Mid-West Hockey League Offices has announced that a new office within league management has been created to aid and ensure compliance with League Salaries, Salary Caps and contract compliance.&nbsp; The office has been created to make the player signings, salary caps, and free agency an easy function for the team owners (management) and the players (players\u2019 union).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1345\" src=\"http:\/\/www.straybaseball.com\/mwhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Bill_Schindel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"158\" height=\"208\">The new office, Contracts and Salary Cap Compliance, will be headed up by Bill Schindel and he will be filling the position of Director, Contracts and Salary Cap Compliance.&nbsp; League Commissioner John \u201cStray\u201d Corrado in creating this new position (in accordance with provisions of paragraph 3.1.4 of the League Guide), stated \u201cthe new concept of multi-year contracts, salary increases and the intricacies of free agency requires the MWHL to have a central office that will monitor compliance and assist in presenting the requirements and provide aid to owners and players during salary and contract negotiations. This office, and Bill will be the go-to place if you have questions. The office will also monitor trades and annual contract signings to ensure fair and accurate contracts are generated and signed and salary cap issues are adhered to.&nbsp; As we end year one of MWHL and head into contract signing dates, Bill and his staff will be providing streamlined and easy to follow and understand information regarding multi-year contract signings as well as the cut-down requirements for the post-season salary cap issues. He will also be providing a clear understanding of free agency.&nbsp; If you have questions about anything contract related, salary cap related or free agency, he will be the guy to ask.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis appointment takes place immediately and the MWHL will begin to benefit from this new office.&nbsp; In addition, the Contacts and Salary Cap Compliance group will be responsible for the annual update of league salaries after the draft and sending out the annual roster notices with team salaries and future year multi-year contract options.&nbsp; And as year 2 begins, the salary issues for MWHL will get a little more involved as Multi-year contracts become a regular occurrence within the league.
