But zero SOG on the 5 on 3 for Alamo, and shortly after that Nikolaj Ehlers redirects a Pietrangelo shot past Lehner. The Danes are up 2-0 after 2, giving up just 11 total SOG against through 2 periods.<\/p>\n But things go south quickly in the 3rd as Draisaitl and Heinen beat Frederick Andersen 54 seconds apart 5:13 into the 3rd to tie the game. Alamo turns on the offense in the last half of the 3rd, but no more scoring and we go to OT.<\/p>\n Late in OT, it appears we’re headed to a shootout. But the Danes put out Roope Hintz for a defensive zone faceoff because of his speed and face off success in the game, and LA moves up ice and Mark Scheifele feeds Hintz who beats Lehner with 7 seconds left in OT to give LA a 3-2 overtime win.<\/p>\n It was LA’s face off dominance that ultimately gave them the win.
