Matt Duchene ties the game shortly after that, but then LA gets another PPG, this time from Mark Scheifele. Early in the 2nd, Kucherov ties the game, and there is no more scoring the rest of the way. After a scoreless overtime, we go to the shootout. In round one Kucherov scores and Scheifele hits the post. But Varlamov stops Eichel and Forsberg, and Benn and Teravainen beat Martin Jones, so the Great Danes come away with a 3-2 shootout win.
