MWHL TROPHIES & AWARDS

The Stanley Cup is the championship trophy awarded annually to the MWHL playoff winner.

An annual award to the club finishing the regular season with the best overall record.

His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, donated the trophy which is presented to the playoff champion in the Eastern Conference.

Presented by the member clubs for perpetual competition by the MWHL & awarded to the playoff champion in the Western Conference.

The Conn Smythe Trophy is an annual award given to the most valuable player for his team in the playoffs at the conclusion of the final game in the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Hart Memorial Trophy is an annual award given to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team at the end of the regular season.

An annual award given to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the MWHL.

The Vezina Trophy is an annual award given to the goalkeeper adjudged to be the best at this position of all MWHL clubs.

An annual award given to the MWHL defenseman who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position.

The Art Ross Trophy is an annual award given to the player who leads the National Hockey League in scoring points at the end of the regular season.

The Frank J. Selke Trophy is an annual award given to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.

Given to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.

Presented to the coach adjudged to have contributed the most to his MWHL team’s success.

An annual award given to the MWHL’s top goal scorer determined based on regular-season play.

Given to the owner who best exemplifies contributions, dedication, & evolution to the MWHL  to the League as a whole.

The Ted Lindsay Award is presented annually to the “most outstanding player” in the MTHL.  Voting is conducted among the MWHL GM’s at the conclusion of the season.

An annual award given to the goalkeeper(s) having played a minimum of 25 games for the team with the fewest goals against average based on regular-season play.

Presented to recognize the work of the league’s top General Manager.  Voting is conducted among the MWHL GM’s at the conclusion of the season.
